Meet Our Board

I came to know Christ after I walked through many dark trials during my childhood and young adult years. Once I came to know Him and the love He pours on us each day, He gave me a passion of sharing the Word of God and walking with others as we live out our messy lives. I lead a busy and sometimes chaotic life but have been happily married for ten years to the man who showed me to Christ. I am wife to Ryan and mother to Timothy, Peyton, Layla, and Mia. I am passionate about seeing lives changed through the love that can only come from our Lord and Savior.

I am a sinner who asked God into his heart at a young age and who is thankful for His grace and forgiveness. I am husband to a beautiful woman named Cheryl and father to four crazy kids: Timothy, Peyton, Layla, and Mia. I have worked with Turner Construction since graduating from Auburn University in 2002. My family and I moved to Owensboro, KY in 2010 so that I could help manage the construction of the new Owensboro Health Hospital. I believe the move was an opportunity given to us by God to help our personal growth in Him and to help build bigger things (not structures). God has continued to open doors for Cheryl and I that allow His work to be done through us. We continue to grow as Christians and as a family. I am fearfully excited to see what God has planned for my family and me.

It wasn’t until later in life that I accepted Christ as my Savior. Thankfully, both of my grandmothers, long before, planted that seed in me as child. I was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, living here all of my life. I did spend a little time away at college but returned home where soon after I began my career. I have been in the banking industry for over 14 years and feel the gifts that God has given me have suited me well in the multiple roles I’ve had in my profession. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Beau, for seven years, and we have a beautiful little ball of energy, Olivia. She is all things girly and sassy but also silly and kind-hearted like her daddy. I am blessed to be called wife and Mommy.

God leads us if we’ll let Him. That has been my experience. Growing up, I was blessed with Christian parents who took me to church and encouraged me to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus. As a young woman fresh out of college, I prided myself on being independent and building a business. Through a series of events and mistakes, I came to realize that I needed to relinquish control of my life to God. Since taking that leap of faith (and claiming Joshua 1:8-9), each day has proven to be an adventure! I met my husband, moved to a new state, landed in a mission-minded church, traveled abroad, and found work that I’m passionate about (helping refugees and serving women). In August of 2017, God gave us a baby boy. I am grateful for the Father’s gifts, especially the hope I have in His Son, Jesus.
